Without Dad in the home to love, comfort, protect and model integrity for his children, the children will inevitably seek love elsewhere. That gap in their heart needs to be filled and to an ignorant child, drugs, sex and power (lies) seem like a good fit. Like pouring battery acid on a cupcake, none of those things will fill the place in a person’s heart that was supposed to be filled with Dad’s love.

Like fingernails on a blackboard, that is how I cringe as I read some of the “single mom” celebratory blogs, both in our local propaganda newpaper rag as well as in national forums. We truly are Spiritual beings having a Human experience, and yet, for those who choose not to develop Spiritually (prayer and meditation – not to be confused with ‘prey and medication’), all they have to lean on is their own limited understanding. We pray for those people, and more importantly, you don’t have to BE one of those people.
